Storm Henk - grants

Dear Councillors

I am writing to bring your attention to a matter of importance for the residents within your constituency who might have been impacted by the recent severe weather conditions during Storm Henk, occurring between January 2 and January 12, 2024.

The government has announced a Flood Recovery Framework offering grants to eligible residents and businesses who flooded during the storm. This is a national scheme and to apply for these grants we must meet certain criteria.

We need to know how many properties were affected by flooding from Storm Henk. So we want to check how many residents in your area were flooded to understand if we will qualify for the grant. If we are eligible then there may be funds available.

Please pass this message onto residents or businesses in your constituency that have been impacted by Storm Henk.
