The 6th June marks the 80th Anniversary of D Day and the Royal British Legion will be laying a wreath on behalf of the community at the war memorial at 7:15pm in remembrance of all those who fought for the freedoms we have today. This will be followed by a service of memories on 1944 at 7:30pm in St James Church and the Parish Council will light the beacon on top of St James Church Tower at 9:15pm as part of the D Day chain of beacons. Many thanks to Gilvar for use of the bottles and gas provided.
We invite you to come and join all or any of the events.
